Have you also (like me) been a victim of a mess up with home delivery of IPL V tickets booked online through BookMyShow.com? I now suspect a well orchestrated racket to accumulate huge cash amounts from customers in the name of Delivery Fees, without there actually being any home delivery service! Here's how this works:
1. Customer pays delivery fee of Rs. 50 at the time of online booking
2. The home delivery doesn't happen - deliberately. The concerned courier company (Expressit) provides feedback (false) against the AWB generated for home delivery of tickets, that delivery was attempted unsuccessfully.
3. Customer ends up actually collecting the tickets personally. Not to mention that the customer spends ample time (& money) on phone calls, to BookMyShow, where all kinds of false feedback is received, including one that the tickets have been delivered!
4. Can you imagine the amount of money collected from 1000s & 1000s of customers in the form of delivery fees, with no intent to actually provide this service?
5. Most customers wouldn't consider it worthwhile following up for refund of this "small" fee, after collecting the tickets personally! And even if this amount does get refunded (after considerable waiting), the objective of collecting a huge amount of cash for a certain period has been achieved - by BookMyShow.com. Is the courier company part of this whole racket?

Let's try and get to the bottom of this. Support this blog with your feedback, if you've had a similar experience!
